It is flat (تخت). It is often (غالبا) square, but it can be any shape (شکل). It is often white, but it can be any color and many colors. It was invented (اختراع کردن) 2000 years ago in China. It has resulted in the greatest things ever made.
   Paper!

   Paper was first made with rags (کهنه). But soon there were not enough (کافی) rags. Then someone noticed (ملاحظه کردن) that wasps (زنبور) make paper nests (لانه) by chewing (جویدن) wood. Thanks to the wasps, people started making paper from wood. Today, a lot of paper is made from paper. From recycled (بازیافت) paper.
   Now, for many things, we use computers and not paper. Some people say that soon we will not need paper. What do you think? Make a list (فهرست) of all the things you use paper for. (Use Google Translate if you don’t know the word in English.)
