The vote from space

But sometimes he lives in outer space on a spaceship (سفینه فضایی) called the International Space Station.

In November 2016, people in America voted (رای دادن) for a new president. To vote, people went (go: رفتن) to a special place in their town (شهر) called a “polling station”. Sometimes people vote at a school in their town. Sometimes they vote at a community center (مرکز ارتباطات). To vote, people are given a voting paper called a ballot [like you see in the picture]. On the paper, they marked (علامت گذاردن) who they wanted for president.

But in November Shane was 250 miles (400 kilometers) above the earth in a spaceship!  So he voted from outer space.  How?  He was sent (ارسال داشتن) his ballot by e-mail. Shane said it was very important to him to vote. He also (همچنین) said it was really fun to vote from outer space!
