There is a contest to see who can find a way so people could fly like birds! The contest was made by a group called GoFly. They will give $1 million to the best idea.The contest has important rules. 1) The machine has to be easy to use. 2) It has to be safe. 3) It has to be able to travel 20 miles without stopping. 4) It must be able to land without hurting you.
The machine can be something you stand on. Or it can be or something you put on your head! Or it can be something you put on your back. There are some people who think that soon, everyone will have a flying machine, just like they have a bicycle!
But the machine is not the only challenge.
